History

C.B. Bhandari Jain College is a Junior And Degree College for Women with a difference. Established in June 2000 by Shree Mahaveer Jain Shikshan Sangh, this Institution aims at imparting quality, value-based education to girls. Located on K.R. Road, one of the arterial landmarks of Bangalore, the College provides a platform for young girls with wings of intellect and talent alike to take off in pursuit of careers in Science, Commerce and Management.

C.B.Bhandari Jain College which was initially established to enable young women to achieve high levels of competence has introduced varied courses to help girls discover and develop their talents, like Yoga, Aerobics and a host of Computer savvy courses are part of the daily curriculum.

Some of the special features of the College are mentioned hereby:

	Well-qualified and experienced lecturers have been appointed.
	The fee structure is moderate and scholarships are granted to deserving students who are from financially weak background, as well as meritorius students.
	A well-equipped Library, Reading Room and Reference rooms with a fully qualified librarian are available. The students can pursue independent study in addition to what is taught in the classes.
	Varied Literary, Cultural and other Co-Curricular Activities are held throughout the year. CONFLUENCE – our annual Inter-Collegiate Festival is a noted event among the student community of Bangalore.
	Suitable indoor and outdoor sports and games are provided. Students are encouraged to participate in Taluk and District level sports competitions.
	Excursions to all students and visits to companies for BBM students are arranged every year.
	Guest Lectures by eminent personalities and specialists in different fields are arranged.
	Important national festivals are celebrated.
	Medical inspection of all the students is done during the year and reports are sent to parents for follow-up action.
	A computerized record of the students’ bio-data, attendance and academic performance is maintained in the college. The parents can have easy access to these any time.
	Short-term vocational courses in different subjects are organized. The students may undergo these courses with advantage.
	NSS Unit of C.B. Bhandari Jain College organizes several camps related to health, hygienic, literacy awareness and is actively involved in rendering social service.
